What kinds of animals do adventure seekers encounter on an African safari?
FactHound is on another adventure this school year — this time he's taking students on a journey across Africa to explore the native animals and their habitat. Each month, he will explore a new African animal and then ask students for their help to figure out the missing information. Engage your students in our fun educational contest for a chance to win great prizes for your school!
How to Enter
Each month, FactHound will explore the characteristics and habitat of an African animal. Have your students find the answer to the missing information about the animal and they will automatically be entered into a drawing to win books for your school.

At the beginning of each month, from September 1, 2007 through May 1, 2008, a new photo of FactHound with an animal will be posted on the contest entry page. |

A teacher or librarian should help students in grades K-6 register online for the contest. |

Using the clues and photograph posted, students should do further research on their own or in groups to find the missing information.

If students guess correctly, they are automatically entered into a drawing to win a 12-book collection of animal books. |
